Here at OSM Utah, we love meeting in person and we’re lucky to have enough mappers in the Salt Lake City area to enjoy monthly meetups!

Many OSM mappers do not have that easy access to in-person OSM events, or may not be interested in meeting in person. For all those people, and of course for all of us at OSM Utah, there’s great news: OpenStreetMap U.S. is hosting Mapping USA later this month!

Mapping USA is a fully online event that is completely free to attend. It’s filled with talks, panels, workshops and collaborative mapping events for people of any OSM experience level. You will learn about the latest initiatives and projects from OpenStreetMap U.S., including some of the latest Community Projects like SliceOSM and Americana.

There will also be ‘office hours’ for a number of OpenStreetMap initiatives, like OSMCha, MapRoulette and OpenHistoricalMap. These are great opportunities to interact directly with the maintainers of those projects and ask all the questions you have about them!

Best of all. MappingUSA is completely free to attend! Donations are encouraged to support the great work that OpenStreetMap U.S. does, but not required.
